My good friend NotDonner asked about an old print this weekend. It gave me a twang of nostalgia. It was the very first post I created on this website. Spectre pointing to the sky. “That’s our future, Sprites. It’s gonna be awesome.”
He was right. He was also brown in the original artwork. It’s been so long I’d forgotten that.
Sometimes things are a certain way for so long, you forget how they were before. The colours of our memories change.
It’s a shame my Etsy store marketing strategy of not telling anybody it exists hasn’t changed…

“Sometimes things a certain way for so long…” Agreed: Stare at a typed page long enough, and you’ll start to read words that aren’t there. Or used to be there, but now aren’t.

You should do something similar to baseball cards from days gone by. “Collect them all”
Picture on the front , story on the back . Every so often you put a special one in the pack like a prize.

They exist for artists and photographers. ACEO’s, they are on the cards (no pun intended).

I think your product would do well on them.

I hope so! Ever thought about doing photographic ACEOs?

I’m not sure what ACEOs are.

Pretty much baseball cards made by creatives.

Aha! I have considered something similar as post cards but I need to have a reliable source for the prints that won’t charge me retail.

Yep. We’ve spoken a few times about this. I’m hoping my house is finally going to sell in the next few weeks. With any luck, I’ll have a new home and set up in 3 months time and I’ll be doing bulk orders of my most popular illustrations in various formats for the cheaper price.

That’s awesome. I have just completed my first portrait session with a client whom I’ve never met before. Things seem to come in surges at the moment.
