“Please,” begged Malcolm. “Please help!”
The pedestrian walked over to him.
“Please, I’ve been stuck in this hole for three days. Please help me out.”
The pedestrian reached down to Malcolm, and then plucked the warrant badge from his jacket.
“Please!” cried Malcolm, as he was dragged deeper into the hole.

Actually, re-read the horror book today before I hit the final publish button, and I’ll be honest. Malcom has a lot of bad days. o.o

You are most definitely not ignorant Susan!
Another wee horror tale. Malcolm was a previous character from two tales so far. An officer working with Denver. The flower headed girl was the last one he was in. This particular tale comes from the fear of getting stuck and pulled into a hole, while the bystander effect grips those who could help.
