Swarm

A bit of a swarm for this weeks #Colour_Collective.

A couple of Fearful things today. First, I believe I’ve responded to everyone who emailed me about a collaboration. If I haven’t replied to you yet, or if you want to collaborate with me, drop me an email to fears@gmx.co.uk and poke me.

I know some of you are waiting on images and audio. I got most of it done yesterday and I’ll be spamming out emails to everyone later today.

Second thingy. I mentioned about a month ago Brexit had finally taken its toll on the companies I’d been getting regular work from. I’ve helped two of them close this last week. Distributing the websites, social media accounts, hosting and all promotional media too other companies buying up the broken-up brands. I’ll be helping to dismantle the company I worked at for 17 years later in the year too. Boy howdy, do I hate Brexit and both major political parties in the UK, right now.

The upshot is I’ll have a lot of time on my hands and work to replace. If anyone needs to hire an artist/designer/writer/vocal bloke for anything, from blog logo design too growling the audio for a YouTube video, poke me. Happy to work for individuals, brands, companies and packs of mutton-chop wearing rockabilly lobsters.

    1. Cheers, Josh. I’m adaptable and can find a dozen ways of paying the bills. I do feel for everyone at the companies that will struggle to find another job to go to, though.

    1. Mmhmm, crappy situation. Should have never been a Yes/No vote and the liars should have been held accountable for their actions among the Leave campaign.

    1. Oh, heck yeah, haha. I kinda feel we needed to have a vote on our future relationship with Europe. But it should’ve never been a yes/no vote.

  1. holy smokes – you’ve got a lot happening!

your posts always make me smile and I love your art. You are inspiring me – things are sticky for me here, moving house and getting on to new projects is like spinning my wheels in mud at the moment.

sending lots of love to you. I plan on getting some t-shirts super soon from you. I see all this change lifting you to new avenues of creativity and prosperity. hang in there!

    1. If there’s one thing I’ve learned this last 4-5 years, it’s that the crappy stuff never ends. You just have to learn to roll with life and always look for new opportunities.

Feel for you on getting stuck moving house. It’s never as straight forward as it should be! So, sending you lots of good wishes and digital hugs to get you through.

  2. Mutton-chop wearing rockabilly lobsters, you say? Well, have I ever got an opportunity for you…

I have the same frustration with political parties in the US. Even if they’re trying to do something worthwhile (not likely, but you never know), they’ll manage to screw it up. And who pays? We do. It’s the same everywhere.

Keep the Fears rolling, you’ll be fine. A lot of disruption going on, true…and things are likely to get uncomfortable for most of us… But if there’s any timeline in which we don’t need a central power’s permission to make a living in our own way, it’s this one.

    1. Do you know, I’ve been saying for years, the biggest similarity the UK and US have had is nobody to vote for. We seem to be in a relentless cycle of voting for the person who’ll do the least damage to the country instead of who we want to lead the country. I think that makes sense…

    1. Cheers, Deb. I’ll dodge and parry my through. I feel awfully bad for the folk at the companies losing their jobs though. Not everyone’s an adaptable/nimble worker.

  3. So sorry to hear this! My country is in turmoil. I really don’t believe this whole Brexit situation was thought through, especially the consequences.

    1. Oh lordy, Brexit was never thought through. We should have had a vote, but it should have been on our future relationship with the EU. Remain, deal or no deal. It was never a yes/no question to ask. And them lying buggers on the Leave side should be held accountable for their actions!

    1. I’m pretty flexible, Emily. I’ll dodge and parry my through to paying the bills. I’ve said a few times in comments, I feel for those that are losing jobs with nothing to move into financially. Who the hecks recruiting new staff right now?
