Introducing Door for this weeks #Colour_Collective. A cute wee missy, known for guarding a door. This weeks colour is Auburn.
The Little Fears website will be getting an overhaul this weekend. I adore my theme, layout, look and feel. But unfortunately, in Automatics infinite wisdom, their reader has never displayed featured images in their own WordPress reader. Baffling. Our largest followings can’t view our posts in full. This is a rather large job for me as it means I have to manually edit every post on the Little Fears to move the featured image to the first image in a post. 842 posts to be exact. Cripes. Wish me luck!
With special thanks
Weekly shout out to my $10 patron, Warren from IWrite. Without people like Warren, I wouldn’t be able to wake you all with my little fears and you’d probably cry a lot less in the morning than you already do. So please do check out Warrens blog.
I really like the way this Fear turned out. The colour of choice of course, for this weeks #Colour_Collective. Again, I think the colour sounds like a good name. So say hello to Vanilla.

Playing with colours for #Colour_Collective. The colour is a super light mint green. Using that against a black background looks awful, so we got creative with a colour wheel. I drew this character for a horror story, Tapdancers Dilemma. I think she still looks fearful in purple with minty wings.

Big shout out to my first $10 patron, Warren from IWrite.
I give a shout out to all new patrons in my weekend posts. A perk for patrons who pledge $10 or more is a shoutout every weekend. So you’ll be seeing Warren, every week, right here. Thank you, Warren.

A return to the astrological characters this week for #Colour_Collective. Aries the ram. She’s a colourful lil Fear, and I always wanted to return to her and re-shape her body.
Ooo, yes! And speaking of astrological signs, Virgo is now available on my Etsy store.
For this weeks colour collective, I really wanted to use my orange bug. It didn’t work in my portrait format though. So we get creative! I double up on his legs so they look like little tentacles and gave him a standing body. A little unnerving, but my bright orange bug works well as a head…
A quick shout out to my friend Rose, over at Magpie at Midnight, who has just signed up to support my over on Patreon.
If you love the Little Fears and you have a few pennies to buy me a coffee, you can hit the buttons below to sponsor me on Patreon or tip me on Ko-Fi. Donations are currently going towards paying off Yuffies bail after she was arrested for raising the dead and making them dance to 80s pop songs.
Well hello! Welcome to another Little Fears; big update! In this weeks post…

Umber
The fine young lady as doodled for this weeks #Colour_Collective on Twatter. Pretty darned sexy if you ask me! I had in mind she was the Little Fears chief rat catcher, who isn’t very good at catching rats. That’s good because Yuffie would be peeved if Umber ate her friend Ratty!
Hydra in Autumn
Still very fears, but a slight departure in colour and style for this weeks new Threadless image. Hydra going for an Autumnal walk. Might make a good book cover for the next Little Fears book titled Seeking Hydra.
A quicky for Inktober, just wanted to show how my characters start out compared to how they end. This is, of course, Umber from the top of the post.
Capricorn
I keep getting told on social media this week I should write a book! Well, I have, three of them in fact. They are all available in print and digital from Amazon.com, with January and Spiders being funny tales and Capricorn a collection of my horror stories.
Do you want a shout out at the bottom of my weekly update posts? Head on over to Patreon and pledge $10 or more a month and not only will you help with Hydra’s feed bill, but you will also get that weekly shout out with a link back to your site. There’s been a lot of blog posts on this usual non-bloggy website recently right? I certainly hope there’s not too many of them. If you feel your getting spammed by me, let me know in comments. Useful feedback is always appreciated.
This post goes back to the stuff I said I would post here four months ago and never did. As I have said in previous posts, I write six stories, draw six tiles and doodle one asset every working day. How many do you see? Barely a fraction makes it online. Mostly because I produce a lot of chaff (don’t we all), so I discard the worst. Some I save for a rainy day. Some I intend to give away to Patreons, both digital and physical copies. Some are for saleable artworks (see below).
I’ll confess, that’s just an excuse to show off some banging new product photography that’ll be arriving on my Threadless store soon.
Some of the pictures I doodle are intended to be drawn just for the sake of drawing them. Because I enjoy doodling them and would like to share them. Vulture is one such creature. I originally drew him in black and red. Then I saw Colour Collective were having a Timberwolf grey theme this week and DMStrachan’s Flickr group, Scribblers Cove, had a Second Life exhibition featuring whimsical art. A quick modification, decorate it a lil digitally and it would be rude not to join in right?
And hey, don’t be hating on him cause he looks a bit mean. Vultures provide a necessary environmental function. It’s not their fault there were at the back of the line when Creation was handing out good looks…
