Brass Ep. 67
The car sputtered. Iron tapped the fuel gauge. They’d filled the tank from jerry cans less than a hundred mile back and the tank was still showing full. The lights inside and out of the car started flickering.
Copper looked out of the back window. The black-bird still visible on its dune, still watching.
The radio turned on and off. Delivering sporadic bursts of white noise. As the last of the electrical charge dissipated from the car, Copper sighed. It was like being in Britain during the seventies.
I’d say for that story I need an electric segue but all I have is an analogue Etsy.
