“Could someone give DCI Lily a call,” asked Reala.
“Sure,” replied Lucy. “Something up?”
“I think Sprite just stole my anti-depressants,” grumbled Reala.
“Darn,” said Fuen. “I hope he’s happy with himself.”
I didn’t find any particular phobias of pills, although there’s a lot of people with a fear of swallowing pills. I did discover there’s a medication phobia known as pharmacophobia. A fear of pharmacological treatments. That’s gotta be a bit of a bother to have.

Heh, cheers, Totem. I can only say, keep a notepad at hand, note down every worthwhile thought you have over a week and review it at the weekend. I could not function without my notepads, haha.

Oof! Sprite is a savage. You can’t steal someone’s happy pills! (I wish they were that magical. They make for a great joke – I thoroughly enjoyed this one – but psychotropics are more like blunt force instruments and you just have to hope they hit the illness harder than they hit the actual patient.)

I hear ya. Not a fan of them myself after the UK went through a phase of treating them as a solution to problems without ever delving into the roots of each patient troubles.

Fair. That’s much of the US in a nutshell too. You’ve been around my blog enough that I imagine you know I’m in legitimate need of some help on that front, but it’s definitely important to understand what you’re going through before you let someone give you little round gubbins that alter your brain chemistry.

Exactly! We’ve managed to sort of move on from just throwing pills at problems over here. Sort of… Sigh
I guess its more money orientated in the states though. Your big pharma problems are a lot worse than ours.

Late-stage capitalism is a little horrifying, yeah. The first time I heard myself referred to as a “consumer of mental health care” I very nearly gagged in revulsion. Really mates? I just wanna be a human being here. I’m not a psycho and my well-being is DEFINITELY not a product to be consumed.

Ha! Love it !!
On a side note you know they make pills to treat pharmacophobia. Rarely never gets refilled.
