Did everyone see the Dark Crystal trailer? In my teen years, I was nicknamed Jen after the main character of the film, so I’ve got a soft spot for Dark Crystal. I love the use of puppets too. It doesn’t look like CGI. Always a win. There’s something so charming about physical props.

Hard to imagine humans inside those crabs, camel things and the Skexkies. Not to mention those giraffe creatures. Oh, and the collector woman, what a voice. Reminds me of Labyrinth and Mr. Bowie as Goblin King.

Yeah, I remember seeing a video of people inside the suits. The tall things had people with stilts inside them! Incredible. Guessing there’s some cast crossover between Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.

The collector woman with the horns and one eye, was voiced by Frank Oz, who also was the voice of Miss Piggy from the Muppet Show 🙂

I love the “Dark Crystal”, the story was so original (written by Henson) with so much craft and beautiful artwork involved, CG seems so dull in comparison. I also love “Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas” another stop motion film by Jim Henson.
