Sleepy Sally

Chasing Leads – ep. 18

Sally took a few sips of her coffee. “Very nice, perfect drinking temperature.”

“I think so,” said Robyn. “Do you like felines?”

“Oh I love kittens,” replied Sally, rubbing her eyes.

“Good,” said Robyn. “I hope you see them in your dreams.”

“What…” gasped Sally, toppling over. “What have you…”

“Sleeping pills in the coffee,” replied Robyn. “I know who you are. I’ve seen you in a picture with DCI Lily. You’re not taking my moggy art away from me!”

“Oh no…” cried Sally drifting in and out of sleep. “I need a cat nap…”

Kitty Coffee

Chasing Leads – ep. 17

“You’re kind of funny,” observed Robyn. “Can I invite you in for a drink?”

“Sure,” replied Sally. As she walked through the door, she was a little unnerved at how many cats roamed the flat. “You like cats, huh?” she asked.

“I love them,” replied Robyn, switching the coffee machine on. “Cats are elegant, friendly and sexy.”

“Aren’t they just,” replied Sally. “What sort of coffee is that?”

“My own brew,” replied Robyn. “Catpurrchino.”

Friendly Face

Chasing Leads – ep. 16

Robyn narrowed her eyes. “Do I know you from somewhere?”

“I don’t think we’ve met, Miss,” replied Sally, a little nervous.

“I’m usually pretty good with faces,” said Robyn. “I was in a competition once, putting names to the faces of celebrities.”

“WELL DONE!” cried Sally.

Robyn stood back. “I didn’t win.”

“Sorry,” replied Sally. “I suffer from premature congratulation.”

Pool Card

Chasing Leads – ep. 15

“You’re going to need to distract her for a few minutes while I hop through the window,” said Lily.

“Yes, ma’am. I have a plan,” said Sally, confidently striding up to Robyn’s door and ringing the bell.

Robyn answered the door. “Hello?”

“Good morning Miss,” replied Sally. “I’m collecting donations for our local children’s swimming pool. May I ask for a contribution?”

“Sure,” replied Robyn. “How much do you want?”

“I’d say a mug of water would be enough,” replied Sally.

Monopoly Cafe

Chasing Leads – ep. 14

“I know where she is,” sighed Poppy.

“Do you have an address?” asked Lily.

“No,” said Poppy, “but do remember, Rollie Dice? She lives in her old flat.”

“Rollie Dice ma’am?” asked Sally.

“She was a criminal mastermind, Sally,” replied Lily. “One demanded I recreate a monopoly board or she was going to blow up a local coffee shop.”

“Gosh!” gasped Sally. “What goes through your head in that sort of situation?”

“Well,” said Lily, “I thought I’d have a Go…”

Siamese Loaf

Chasing Leads – ep. 13

“I left her when the cat’s got too much for me,” said Poppy.

“Anything event particular?” asked Lily.

“I think the final straw,” said Poppy, “was when she made me bake her a Siamese cat out of flour, margarine, yeast and water.”

“Was anything else mixed in?” asked Sally.

“No,” replied Poppy. “It was pure bread.”

Fish Wife

Chasing Leads – ep. 12

“I dated her for a while,” admitted Poppy.

“Did you partake in any of her cat based shenanigans?” asked Lily.

“She made me dress up a few times,” sighed Poppy. “She’d make me wear the top half of a cat costume and slip my legs into a giant fish tail.”

“I see,” said Lily. “So you were a meowmaid?”

Cat Bed

Chasing Leads – ep. 11

“So how much did you know about her?” asked Lily.

“I knew she had some funny fetishes,” replied Poppy.

“Such as?” asked Lily.

“Between you and me,” whispered Poppy, “she used to like dressing her partners up as cats before she let them into her bed.”

“Good grief,” gasped Sally, “what a purrvert!”

Market Stall

Chasing Leads – ep. 10

“Robyn, the cat burglar, has been on a crime spree,” said Lily.

“What does that have to do with me?” asked Poppy.

“We think you may know where she lives,” said Lily. “If memory serves me well, she used to enjoy the odd apple from your market stall.”

“She would pass by from time to time,” replied Poppy. “But I never spoke to her.”

“I have a photo of you two talking. Both with tins of cat food in hand,” stated Lily.

“You gotta be kitten me,” sighed Poppy.

Poppy’s Door

Chasing Leads – ep. 9

“Lily,” sighed Poppy, answering the door.

“Good morning Poppy,” replied Lily. “I have a few questions for you.”

“I don’t like coppers,” mumbled Poppy.

“I don’t like thieves,” replied Lily.

“You know what I don’t like?” asked Sally. “People who answer their own questions.”
