Computer Virus

Lost Leads – ep. 15

“Is the anti-virus up to date?” asked Sally.

“It seems so,” said Lily.

“Gotta be careful about computer viruses ma’am,” said Sally.

“I know,” replied Lily. “I once had a virus on my desktop PC.”

“What was the cure?” asked Sally.

“An 80’s goth rock band,” replied Lily. “But that’s not important right now.”

    1. DCI John Luther: [observing a dead body] Look, it’s a very specific look – the wig, the makeup. There’s a bit of a Siouxsie and the Banshees thing going on here.

DS Justin Ripley: Who and the what?

      DCI John Luther: ’80s. Post-punk.

DS Justin Ripley: Oh, uh, goths.

      DCI John Luther: Post-punk.

      1. (I changed my profile pic)… Had to butt in, because my dog sighed/cried when I read that one!

It was cute! Great timing… She’s my goth dog.

        Made my day!

  1. I remember a similar joke from the movie Airplane!
“We have to get them to a hospital.”
    “A hospital! What is it?”
“A big building with doctors and nurses, but that’s not important right now.”

      1. I once used a punchline in a script I thought I had devised on my own, then during a rewatch of Breaking Bad I heard the same punchline and wondered if that’s where I got it. Either way it’s funny. 😀
