Pep

“Would you look at that,” pondered Spectre.

“They’re the smallest peppers I have ever seen,” said Sprite.

“Maybe we should find a blanket to put on them,” said Spectre.

“Good idea,” replied Sprite. “They look a little chilli.”

  1. You know, the thing I like best about your stories is that they are short, sweet, and simple. They get right to the point. I love this poem the best so far, since I’m a pepper hog! Lmao!

    Kudos again, my friend. 😎

    1. Cheers, man. The format of them was a hangover from a prior project. I ran (still kinda do) a theatre in Second Life. The maximum notice length to send to your followers/group members is 512 characters. So every day they got a story about the people behind the curtain, usually end in a witty banter or creepy horror. The short and snappy story length followed onto to my next three projects, heh.

      1. Shweet! Man, 5/12/1988 is my date of birth, and I get giddy anytime I see 512 as a number! lol 😜 Also, I wish I could experience Second Life. I don’t think my version Android supports it, at least not since it’s a model from 2014, which I learned too late after getting it for Christmas of 2017. Oh well. lol

I love your format, and I’m happy it’s working out for you, despite it being the result of a hangover. Good things happen out of hangovers though. lol

      2. Aha, fantastic birthdate. Happy to put a grin on your face.

Ach, Second Life works on Android via Lumiya, but that’s an awful way of experiencing it. It’s a wide-open world where you can build/be whatever ya want. Mac or PC (linux or windows) is the only way to browse the Second Life.

And arf, yeah, I think they made a film or two about hangovers too.

  2. Hot today (It is 8:30 a.m. and already over 90 degrees (typical August heat on Texas Gulf Coast, and August is two days hence), but maybe it will be chili tomorrow!

    1. Ooof, heh. Hey, we’ve had our own heatwave over here this last few weeks. Colder than Texas, but it’s the humidity that’s the killer.
