Clue

“Listen,” said Lucy. “You keep asking me why I’m here, have you ever wondered why you’re here? Do you even remember how you got here?”

“Iโ€ฆ” stammered Meria, “I don’t know how I got here. I don’t know why I’m here.”

“Good grief,” chuckled Lucy. “It’s like watching Boris Johnson standing up in parliament.”

    1. I’ve been saying it for ages, however this turns out, it’s the end of the United Kingdom. I figure this time next year we’ll be out (Johnson’s going to get his No-Deal), Scotland will be gunning for IndyRef2 and Northern Ireland will be weighing up the pros and cons of remaining in the union. Heck, even Wales has started to have independence rallies.

  1. Jajajaj! Look, my brain is twisted in knots what with trying to understand this Brexit business but I have to concur.
I don’t know about you, but I’m sad to see Bercow go, who’s ever gonna be able to bellow “orda, orda, orda” now?

    1. Yeah, Bercow went from a hard-right politician to a well-reasoned middle of the road guy. Helped a lot in him keeping impartiality. He’ll be missed.

  2. This gave me a good little laugh. In related news, apparently the biographer of Johnson described him as having “immense charisma” and “sex appeal” and I’m now doubting everything I ever thought about life.

    1. Ech, immense charisma… He has of sorts… He has a powerful empty rhetoric, which when repeated enough, many believe. I guess you call that charisma? Sex appeal though, jeez, where’s that come from? Haha.

      1. Yeah, I’ll say that the sex appeal statement was what sent me into something of an existential crisis. I know that he has a sort of fan base going all the way back to his days writing “humor” for newspapers, but to say he has great sex appeal…
