Sat Nav

After two years of fighting bad solicitors, land registry, idiot house buyers and the loss of my entire life savings, I’m finally taking the second step in moving to Scotland. At this point, we have a completion date for this Friday with the current buyer, after five months of stupidity with their solicitor, we still haven’t exchanged contracts and he still doesn’t have the deposit.

Jesus. Fecking. Wept.

So I don’t know what or when anything is happening with this flat, but I’m certain I need to get to Scotland to see my missus. I haven’t seen her in over a year. So I’ve shipped my last parcel of stuff to her mum and dads and I’ll be riding up tomorrow on a wee 125cc motorbike. It’s about 16 hours total. My satnav display goes on for a few pages. Hoping to take advantage of the sun and early summer long days. I’m sure I’ll tweet from a few services on the way up.

@TheLittleFears on Twatter.

When I’m up there I’ll be posting daily as per normal, but as I’ll be on a 500mb a month 3g connection, I shan’t be as prolific in the community as I have been. There’s no point me getting a contract internet until I have my own home again. Possibly within two months, I hope. Until then my blog browsing will be cut right back. You’ll still get a daily helping of humour, with the odd philosophical pondering or spooky horror. I’ll just be a lot less vocal on other your blogs. Sorry. I’m sure y’all understand.

Hope to see you yonder!

Cheers

Kohl

Darn, Kohl, you are one creepy little bugger… Just a whole bunch of nope!  Submitted for approval to this weeks #Colour_Collective. A Little Fear I’ve had since forever ago and never figured out what to do with him. Until now!

With special thanks

Weekly shout out to my $10 patron, Warren from IWrite. Without people like Warren, I wouldn’t be able to wake you all with my little fears and you’d probably cry a lot less in the morning than you already do.

Vanilla

Vanilla

I really like the way this Fear turned out. The colour of choice of course, for this weeks #Colour_Collective. Again, I think the colour sounds like a good name. So say hello to Vanilla.

Living Cars

Living Cars

Life (Ep. 0 of -1)

“It’s not alive,” she grumbled.

“It is,” claimed the Illustrator. “Look, see, two eyes and a mouth. It’s smiling at us.”

“Clouds don’t wave at us, bulldog clips don’t bite us and that car has no emotions. Inanimate objects can’t smile,” she moaned.

The illustrator furrowed his brow.

She threw her hands up. “I give up. How do you do it?” she asked walking away. “How do you anthropomorphize everything you see into a stupid doodle or story?”

The illustrator looked at the car.

The car looked back.

“How do you not?” sighed the illustrator.

Leaf it out

Leaf it out

“Do you know,” said Botanica, “I only drink tea on days that end with a y.”

Know the feeling, Botanica…

So here’s a thing. I have never made then sold an illustration as is. I always import it, touch it up, get it onto a shirt or art print. I have never just drawn something and sold it. I reckon it’s because I have no confidence in my own art. The nagging question, what do I do if I make something and nobody buys it? It’s a crippler.

So today I’ve put on my big girl panties… Or boxer shorts… We’ll go with boxer shorts… And drawn two Botanicas on 240 gsm, acid-free acrylic textured card, with the express intent, to sell them as is. She weighs in at a size of 7 inches tall by 5 inches across. Pens included in images for size reference only. They do not come with the illustration. Neither does the grass or leaves on the ground for that matter. She does come with free first class shipping within one business day so will arrive on your doorstep in a speedy fashion.

I’ve done some digging about for hand-drawn art and I don’t know if it’s artists selling themselves short but everything to buy is either a print or suspiciously cheap. So I’ve had to value them at what I feel they are worth. Man, that’s a hard price to come up with.

If you’d like to purchase either of them, you can head over to my Etsy store at the link below. Yeees, I know, fees, but they aren’t as much as sellers hyped them to be and it gives a little protection to both the buyer and the seller.

Carter

A properly devilish Little Fear for this weeks #Colour_Collective. I had a name for him the moment I finished doodling him. I reckon Carter is quite fitting.

Pigeon Shaman

‘As the mayor’s skin turned to seed, he pleaded, one last time. The pigeon shaman ignored his cries. The flock arrived. Hungry.’

The pigeon shaman, the avian avenger, taking out her fury on the poor fella for his anti-pigeon measures. She’s also taking her Fears to both a Threadless and Etsy store near you!

As she’s a new release, and I adore her, you can message me below or email me at fears@gmx.co.uk to get her A4 print for just £8 + P&P. Offer ends Saturday, June 9th.

You may also know that Seeking Hydras cover has returned to my Etsy store this week.

And do you know what? As I’m using up my entire year’s marketing quota in just one post, I’m also going to link to the book this image came from. Seeking Hydra.

Seeking Hydra is available on Amazon for £4.99 for an ebook or £12 in print. And gosh darn it, does it have a sexy cover. Feel free to judge.

Aries

A return to the astrological characters this week for #Colour_Collective. Aries the ram. She’s a colourful lil Fear, and I always wanted to return to her and re-shape her body.

Ooo, yes! And speaking of astrological signs, Virgo is now available on my Etsy store.

Grrr! Lookin pretty villainous there, missy!

Ko-FI

I now have a Ko-Fi page. The new coffee icon at the bottom of my posts takes you there. I had a PayPal button which was limited on how much I can earn without being a registered charity from tips. Also, the button isn’t straightforward to make. PayPal tips button is a kludge. So, enter Ko-Fi.

Ko-Fi allows people to give small one-off tips of $3. It’s a great idea over Patreon because not everyone wants to subscribe to donate dollars every month. Some folk just prefer one-off tips. I like the idea of Ko-Fi too. Buying someone a cuppa. That’s just nice.

On payment, Lisa was my first coffee buyer. The change landed in my PayPal account within minutes. It comes out $2.57 after fees. Thank you, Lisa!

If you’d like to buy me a cuppa, please do click the link below, and I take PG tips with a little bit of cows milk.
