Brass Ep 40
Copper arrived in the libraries computer room. She flicked the power switch and a dozen computers beeped to life.
Her fingers danced across the keyboard. A printer came to life and began regurgitating paper with ink spread across it.
Copper’s keyboard tapping soundtrack paused. “Oh, no.” Her screen paused, flickered and turned blue.
She squeaked as the PC crashed all the other computers slowed down to watch.
Shout out to Bob, the Penguin for buying me another cuppa ko-fi yesterday and thanks to Warren for the $10 Patronage.

Bob realizes that Kofi is really tea, but that’s OK in my book. I’ve got this secret stash of money that the old lady doesn’t know about, and it’s mine all mine to use, as I see fit…..Enjoy it while it lasts!

Heh, kinda wonder if PCs do watch each other crashing though.

What did Copper do? Did she short circuit her PC?

Ahh, how familiar they were late 1990s and early 2000s…

Anytime my PC acts up I remind it how the first Terminator movie ended with the hydraulic press. It usually works.
… I wonder if the Terminator slows down when Windows needs to update 🤔

I have experienced the dreaded Blue Screen of death before. Not good. Thanks for the like.

The blue screens of death deserve their own horror movie franchise.

Clever. I wonder about the pressure of coming up with puns, day in, day out. I enjoy the process myself, but the challenge of doing it consistently — without duplication — would be daunting.

Cheers, Anony. Once the current story ends I’ll be going back to mixing in non-pun stories. This site was originally built around a mix of humour and horror. There’s just not been the room for horror in the current storyline I would have liked.

I do enjoy the juxtaposition of horrific characters making light of existence and reality. It’s a mix that works well for you.
