Have you ever had one of those moments where you think one thing but say something completely different?

Yeah, I know you all have. It’s the same as when you start writing an article on origami but end up telling the world about the Irish potato famine. Or when you tweet a picture of your cat instead of ranting about a politician. I know you’ve all been there.

This Kaijus originally had a chameleons head.

Yeah. You’ve all been there.

I love the old Godzilla films and Pacific Rim, but otherwise, know nothing of Kaiji culture. Do they all still have names? Should I be naming these critters? Should this beast be named Not-A-Chameleon?

Grey Moon is my fifth series of Little Fears stories. A bit of pondering on life, death and a lot of puns. Told across seven days in the Grey Moon pub with a cast led by three of our favourite characters, Yuffie, Fuen and Reala.

Portrait of an artist. Self-portrait. Me, before I’ve had my first cup of tea of the day.

I have a few more complete series to post. I’ll finish by the end of the week. Capricorn, the original horror series. Grey Moon, a week in a pub with Fuen, Reala and Yuffie. The two-year long #Colour_Collective portrait series. I might put up last weeks Sprite story into a single post too.

Seeking Hydra

Although Capricorn, my second series, had some background recurring characters, Seeking Hydra was the first to have an underlying plot. Amongst all of the usual daftness and random unrelated daily tales, Hydra sets off to find his place in the world and figure out who he is.

I think my extended family are in-fact multi-eyed harpy monsters. Well, I think they are. It’s been nearly 30 years since I’ve seen any of them. I’m not sure how accurate my memory is. I’m positive this is how my auntie looked, though!

Spiders

Spiders is the Little Fears third series of stories, originally posted in 2017. Much like January, it’s a series of random silly tales with frightful doodles. No plots or development. Just a whole lot of puns.

Battery Life

“Dammit,” she grumbled as the screen of the tablet turned off.

Etta fumbled around in the kitchen drawer for a charger cable. She yanked the microwaves plug out of the wall and plugged in her tablet. She peered at her reflection in the screen waiting for the tablets power button LED to turn green.

“Hurry up and turn me on,” said her reflection. “We miss you already.”

Kaijune – 01

My motorbike took a knock while parked some time back and took a bit of damage. As it’s off-road while I’m doing repairs I had to walk into town today. Figured it wasn’t that far. 12 mile there and back. But my word, did I ignore the fact I’ve moved to the north side of the Grampians.

I’m pretty sure when I got home and sat down, I was making noises like Godzilla while clutching my legs.
